The LUH Community Health Resource Library is dedicated to fulfilling library requests to the public, patients and their families, LUH employees and medical staff. The following is an overview of our lending policies. For questions or further information please contact the library at 303-651-5112.
Book and Materials
Books and materials housed in the LUH Community Health Resource Library are available for check out to anyone living in the LUH service area, which includes Longmont and surrounding communities as well as LUH employees. Please bring a current driver’s license or identification that includes your name, address and phone number. The checkout period is for two weeks on most materials. Books and materials that are in high demand will have a loan period of one week. Students may view materials or photocopy as needed.
Interlibrary Loan
The LUH Community Health Resource Library does not provide interlibrary loan services for books and materials to the general public. Interlibrary loan service is available to members of the National Network of Libraries in Medicine.
Database Searching and Online Resources
LUH Library provides up-to-date information using online resources and databases. This free service is offered to the public, LUH employees, medical staff and students. You may send your request via e-mail, phone or stopping by the library.
Library Hours of Operation
The library is open from 8 am until 1 pm Monday through Thursday. A book drop is located across from the library to return materials during the hours the library is closed. All requests can be made at anytime via the website, e-mail or phone. The library staff will make every effort to fill information requests in a timely manner.
